Killarney = Magic

The start of our day. Good sign? I think yes. Perhaps even magical? Most def.

The bus ride to Killarney through the window.

We have arrived and they have horses.

The cheesiness posing alone begins.
Love you Shayla for tag teaming this place with me!

I WAS SO HAPPY. SUE ME.

Why do all my dreams extend, Just around the riverbend?!?
A typical Irish field. I felt it needed to be documented.

Ross Castle!!!!!

I'm on a boat! I got my flippy-floppies.

View from the island that we randomly decided to sail to. Best decision!!!

NO REGRETS!!!! BEST DAY EVER

You know you love me.

A Day in the Life- Sunday

Sunday in Pictures

I leave my apartment to meet Shayla for grocery shopping. The pictures get prettier than this I promise. PS These pictures are actually false and not fully Sunday since we did this photoshoot on Saturday but it is what our typical Sunday is without mass and such.

My walk to Shayla's apartment. I prefer to take the back way since it's along the river and it's much faster.

Archery club? We passed by these enterprising young athletes on campus while we walked into town. Shayla and I were tempted to join but thought better of it since we had no idea what it was.

The real photoshoot begins! Posing contemplatively on the bridge into campus.

Far Away Shot in order to encompass the beauty.

Shayla! Thanks so much for being willing to goof off with me and take my picture.

View from the bridge on the other side towards our apartments.

Pointing more towards campus and Shayla's and I's future house.

I'm so excited to be going home to our future house as if I come back to it everyday!

Unfortunately, this house is really an administrative office (?!?) so I only pretended to knock.

The Garnish House where most of the girls' parents are staying. Famous for its' breakfast which is why Shayla and I are going to attempt getting a free one on Monday like Mary did when she told them how her mother was staying there soon.

~Our favorite pub~ and Cafe Depeche where Mary works

The street we walk past all the time wondering if it's Diagon Alley and plan to go down it soon

The courthouse where people randomly Skype on their computers and ride their skateboards

The Wash-- always very crowded, so crowded that we left one night early only to find out that the Cork football team came in later that same evening

My favorite Centra (a kind of convenience store) because of its' amazing bakery with chocolate torsades aka twists

Finally, Shayla and I make it to TESCO!!!!

You know you love me.

Word is Early Start's Over

That's right, dear readers. S just finished her first test. Let the celebrations officially begin! Tomorrow. After her nap. And Gossip Girl.

Did some cleaning that was long overdue since I used my exam as an excuse to let things go. Now my room is spic and span and people can actually see its surfaces again! I made my own playlist for the massive tidying since I got some epic new music, some of which I shared with y'all on my new feature-- the mini-pod. No joke, that took a legit amount of time to rig up so you better appreciate/comment on it.

Speaking of new music, here's some new artists/cds I'm digging on------

Michael Buble- Crazy Love
I may not be crazy about the cover but I am crazy about the songs!! You know I can't resist a smooth man who sings big band standards.
Listen To: Haven't Met You Yet, All I Do Is Dream of You, and Heartache Tonight
Listen When: you feel like being silly, romantic and/or wistful
PS. NANA, YOU TOTALLY NEED TO BUY THIS.

Glee- Glee Cast
Oh Glee! Where have you been all my life? You were made for me and we were meant to be. But seriously, show, you complete the Broadway/old rock/pop loving superfan in me.
Listen To: Don't Stop Believin', Push It, Last Name, and Somebody to Love
Listen When: you want to dance and sing!!

500 Days of Summer Soundtrack
If you haven't seen this film yet, do it. Now. Then you will immediately want to buy the soundtrack. It's just that good and catchy.
Listen To: Us, You Make My Dreams Come True, Sweet Disposition
Listen When: you've given up on love/happiness/romance

Miranda Lambert- Revolution
Confession: Waiting to buy this CD until I get home since I adore Miranda and want to have a hard copy of what is sure to be a kickass album. I have been hardcore obsessed with every single song of hers. I already love Only Prettier.
Listen When: you need to feel good/ bad/everything in between, all while being a Southern-hot badass

Justin Bieber- My World
Don't judge. Can't knock it until you try it... Looks like Little J is going to be opening for Taylor Swift and I couldn't be happier that this led to my finding out about his music even though he's clearly like five. Whatevs, he's catchy!
Listen To:
One Time, Favorite Girl, One Less Lonely Girl
Listen When:
you have got to be a carefree kid again

*****Special Mentions******
*Leighton Meester- Somebody to Love== NEW ABROAD ANTHEM. She deserves a whole post for this song since it so perfectly describes what I'm sure is going to be our new motto. For example--
Paris, France to Michigan
London town and through Berlin
I can’t believe this place I’m in
Everywhere and back again
Is there somebody who still believes in love?
I know you’re out there
There’s got to be somebody
I search around the world
But I can’t seem to find
Somebody to love

They say it’s hard to achieve
But can’t a girl believe?
I mean, can it get any more perfect?

*Jamelia- Superstar
For when you are in the Bailey getting your groove on after that miserable day of classes. You deserve to dance babii gurrl because you must be some kind of SUPERSTAR.

You know you love me.

Penney's

Oh Penney's, how I love thee. Let me count the ways.
  • nine euro dark rinse skinny jeans
  • nine euro grey skinny jeans (so great I got them again!)
  • cheap tea towels? Check!
  • glitter eyeshadow for Taylor Swift? Check!
  • inexpensive black flats with an adorable bow on them that I wear everywhere? Check!
  • turquoise sweater on sale? Check!
  • strawberry body lotion for less than a euro? Check!
  • black and white striped shirt for celebrating Guinness' birthday? Check!
  • red bow belt to add some color to black/white outfit? Check!
-Wearing both grey jeans and black flats-

All for under forty euro! It really helps a college girl out in getting her fashion fix. Today I went shopping with Shayla into town and we just picked up a few essentials at the everything 2 store (where everything is two euro) and Penney's. Had two classes today, both of which went pretty smoothly. What didn't go so smoothly is our planning for our trip to Scotland. We initially thought we might go for Halloween weekend but it turns out most of the girls have midterms on that Monday that we obviously can't skip the class like we were hoping. Instead, I am pushing for the next weekend after everything wraps up but others still want to attempt All Hallows Eve, just earlier. Ah well, it'll work out if it's meant to work out. Off to dinner with the girls and peanut butter chocolate scone making for dessert with Shayla later!

You know you love me.
